My Story

That's a wrap

Monday 30th Nov
How did we get the the end of the challenge already? Week 4 involved some lovely wanders along some coastal trails of the South Coast as I was fortunate enough to be on holidays. I was missing the beach so much when I got back I hiked down to our local river to get my water fix! My last scenic walk of the challenge was this lovely stroll through the Botanical Gardens - a great way to cool down on a hot almost summers day. Thank you to everyone for sponsoring me and supporting the amazing work of Beyond Blue. I am hoping to keep up my steps and fitness and in turn support my own wellbeing. Take care x

Half way mark!

Sunday 15th Nov
I've now reached the end of week 2 and just completed my most steps of the challenge so far 22,022!  For week 3, I'll need to step up my game (ha) and include both steps and some heavy lifting through the week. Wish me luck! And please sponsor me if you can, all funds go towards Beyond Blue.

Why I'm doing this.

Friday 30th Oct
When the Stayin' Wild challenge popped up on my browser, I was instantly excited about the opportunity to a) challenge myself to create new habits of exercising each day and b) raise funds for Beyond Blue.

I have always loved walks and hikes in the outdoors, but have really struggled to find the motivation to constantly get out there this year (I'm sure many can relate to this, am I right? #2020).  This challenge will help me out because I know I'm walking for a greater cause than just me, I'll be walking, huffing and puffing, to raise funds for a cause that affects us all in one way or another.

In 2020 especially, the demand for mental health support services has increased dramatically and organisations like Beyond Blue are critical to providing effective information and accessible support when people need it most.

I hope you can join me and support me through this challenge - whether it be sponsoring me and donating to Beyond Blue, providing encouragement, or coming along on a hike!

Let's do this!

Thank you to my Sponsors
