Stepped OverMonday 30th Nov Today was so much cooler, and Rory and I strode out in a cooler breeze this morning, enjoying our run. Balance has been thought of, even if it is through exercise as simple as standing on one leg.
Stepping further afieldMonday 30th Nov A better day today, not hot, and Rory and I stepped out and went running. It was wonderful, with a beautiful light breeze. My steps reached 10,590, and my fund raising also made a big jump. I so appreciate each and every one who have supported me.
Hot hot hotMonday 30th Nov Well another scorcher where we didn’t venture outside. By 0800am it was 30 degrees, and it went up to 41 degrees. Thus I didn’t get my steps I wanted. I am still trying to get there.🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Temperatures RisingSaturday 28th Nov Oh with this hot weather today, and going to 40 degrees tomorrow, it’s been tough to get the steps up, especially without having an aircon gym to head to. Thus I didn’t get my 10,000 steps up today, and I dare say tomorrow I may not either, but will give it a good go. 🤷♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Steps stairs weights and agilityFriday 27th Nov Last week and incorporating all of the above, with Wednesday just getting over to 10,000 steps and Thursday just under. I flew down to Newcastle and when I got down here, it never cooled down in the afternoon, so I didn’t hit the running pad. Friday is another day. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Last week of the challengeTuesday 24th Nov Wow, what a day yesterday. Combining walking, running, stairs, weights I made it over the 18,000 steps. I think this might be my best day now. Beat my last 17,000 odd. Feeling great and love the challenge, and love beating that challenge, life I have done almost every day this month. Cheers, and thanks for supporting this great cause, Beyond Blue.
Last weekTuesday 24th Nov I have thoroughly enjoyed this last month, and ‘guessing’ what my step reading is and I now am pretty accurate at that. Each day with a good run or walk, and then usual activities, I certainly get my steps well over the 10,000 steps daily. This week I am combining steps, stairs and weights to get my step count up.
Stairs and StrengthFriday 20th Nov
Strength to stepsWednesday 18th Nov Oh I have missed a few blog days! I blame Rory! Each day my steps have been in excess of 12,000, so I am pretty happy about that. Most days I have stepped out in excess of 500 stairs, so I really smashed the stairs challenge.
Stairs A PlentyWednesday 18th Nov Another great day stepping it out amongst the steps. I love stairs now, and another 600 stairs today, along with 12,350 steps, I am pretty happy.
Stepping out in the forestSunday 15th Nov 14th November waking up in Brisbane this morning, a beautiful day. Martin, Louie and I headed to the greets in Whites Hil for more steps and stairs. While we stepped it out amongst nature and greeted some friendly people and dogs, I Sussex out the stairs. Ran ahead and found sixteen and smashed out 500+. Another challenge ticked off, and by days end, after a smashing great ‘Hot Arse’ long lunch, savouring beautiful chilli delights and great curries, I reached my step goal, totalling for the day - 10,196. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Less stairs after tonneSunday 15th Nov Thursday 13th November - I am on track but due to Rory wonderful duties didn’t get quite so many stairs stepped out over the next two days, but both days well exceeding the 120 daily stairs. My step average is also still way over the daily 10,000. Great going. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Tonne of StairsWednesday 11th Nov Wed 11/11/20
Smashing Those StairsWednesday 11th Nov I felt very energised when I faced those steps this afternoon. Our challenge is to do 120 stairs, that is a set of steps (12) ten times. I smashed it with 700 stairs. My step count today wasn’t as high as other days but was very happy with the day overall. Step count 11,895. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Stepping it out FurtherTuesday 10th Nov A great morning to take Rory in the stroller for a jog. We were out for an hour moving along, listening to Rory chat away to himself. No sleep was happening out of this walk. Then in the afternoon I took myself off to the steps to climb. I must incorporate 10 sets of stairs, a set being 12 steps. I smashed it with just over 500, and with a few walks in between I smashed out another 2000 steps to add to my count. My bedtime my total was 15, 860. Yes I smashed it. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Stepping It OutSunday 8th Nov We are now incorporating steps to out walks or runs for our cardio fitness. Daily, ten sets of stairs, with a set of stairs being twelve steps, that’s 120 steps per day this week. Today I found a great place to do stairs. In one hit I did 200 steps, and getting to a total today of 11, 750. I will aim to add to this number tomorrow. Feeling good. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Walk along with strollerSunday 8th Nov With the help of Rory we made it! We had to dodge the rain, and to get me over the line I added a further 2,000 odd by jogging hard and fast during the ads while watching Mamma Mia Here We Go Again. I did it again. Very happy.
Run for the FunSaturday 7th Nov Day 6 - A beautiful day to step out into the warm sunshine. Rory and I set off together stroller in hand for some morning sunshine. Later in the day Lyn headed out determined to get the count up due to the nature of the day. Off for my run, it was lovely to be out again at dusk. Today my steps - 15,173. Very happy with that.
Wild and WetFriday 6th Nov Day 5 - it’s raining, it’s pouring ....... but I was determined to rise to the challenge while the rain poured down and doing Lyn Lyn duties looking after my beautiful grandson Rory. We played, incorporating running around inside playing. While the lightening crashed and the thunder clapped my feet kept on moving. I made it and came in with 10,379. Hope the sun is out tomorrow to help me out. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wild walk continuesThursday 5th Nov Day 3 - Not the best of step days but did keep going until I was over my target. Today I flew to Newcastle and then on to The Hunter Valley to meet up with Jaye, Anthony and Rory. Haven’t seen them since June. 😞. But sooooo happy now. Every step towards my target and to make a difference to other people’s lives. Onwards and upwards. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wild walk WeekThursday 5th Nov Day 1 - Hard to get steps up as I had a lot of miles to drive but got over the goal for the day. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
